**This role**

The Commercial Counsel Senior Manager is responsible to be the primary legal advisor on all contractual matters; by establishing and maintaining efficient, compliant, and scalable commercial contracting activities that support business growth while managing customer, partner, distributor and vendor risks.

**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the development and execution of the commercial contracting strategy for partners, distributors, suppliers, and customers, balancing legal risk with business priorities; replicate and implement the contracting process framework in the region; and provide practical advice to internal clients.
- Develop strategies for contract compliance, termination, or renegotiation, as needed. Monitor contract performance and compliance after signing to ensure adherence to terms.
- Develop standardized contract templates with vendors, partnerships, customer-facing contracts, confidentiality agreements, and license agreements, ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations and company policies.
- Act as lead legal counsel on complex and high-impact agreements, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with operational, business, and legal risk objectives.
- Manage contractual disputes and claims in coordination with external counsel when necessary. Lead and advise the contracts legal team, overseeing daily contract management and providing training in contract management practices to increase efficiency and reduce legal bottlenecks, leading to high performance and professional growth.
- Implement contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and self-service contracting workflows to streamline contract workflows.

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- +7 years of experience in the legal profession, with experience in financial regulatory compliance, financial law and obtaining regulatory licenses, in technology and financial companies, fintech is a plus.
- Strong background in commercial contracts, corporate governance, and local labor/employment law and practical understanding of local corporate law, financial frameworks, and local labor law.
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams and working closely with non-legal stakeholders
- Self-starter with excellent judgment, a builder’s mindset, and strong execution skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment, and stakeholder management.
