**Position Title: Finance Lead**
**Location**:Acuna Plant
**Reports To**: Plant Controller
Lead in coordination with plant controller to ensure that finance department contributes effectively towards the achievement of organizational financial goals and objectives by ensuring that prudent financial management systems and processes are applied.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leadership and Capacity Building_
- Leads and overall oversight of the Finance Department and provides consistent leadership to department personnel through regular meetings, effective objective setting, delegation, and communication.
- Conducts regular training to the team on purchases/financial policies and procedures and best practices.
- Leads and participates in special projects that further the goals of the Finance Department.
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality regarding discussions and decisions made by Senior Management and takes all required actions to ensure that staff adhere to these requirements.
- Encourage all members of the company to make all expenses, purchases, and requisitions in accordance with the guidelines established in Newell policy.
- Operations Finance_
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company.
- Oversees the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and report.
- Ensures that financial reports are reviewed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Lead annual budget development process.
- Review project budgets and monitor project expenditure in line with budget by maintaining a budget tracking.
- Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and forecasting modeling for company leadership.
- Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests.
- Analyze and coordinate activities associated with operations performance on site.
- Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
- Track and analysis of Plant saving projects. Ensure correct calculation of it.
- MRO purchases planning_
- Develop a new process in SAP to buy indirect material while improving operation performance.
- Responsible for indirect material purchases planning.
- Improve MRO financial planning accuracy and control.
- Develop internal controls to improve MRO acquisition process.
- Improve financial results in MRO by partnering with procurement team (delivering strategic information for negotiations).
- Improve Toolcrib management system by developing automatic processes.
- Managing MRO budget and forecast.
- MRO Inventory Management_
- Plan, lead and supervise the annual cycle count program.
- Train the team to carry out the cycle count program efficiently, aligned with Newell policy.
- Achieve inventory control goals according with company alignments
- Identified, analyzed, and addressing gaps in inventory.
- Analyze statistical data and generate forecasting solutions. #LI-MF1
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounting, engineer or similar degree.
- Desirable having master’s degree in Finance, Economics or similar.
- Ability to understand accounting and financial processes related to the business.
- Knowledge of Internal Controls concepts.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial or statistical analysis
- Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
- Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Working knowledge of SAP purchases process.
- Project Management
- Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such Cognos, BI, Bex Analyzer, Access, etc.
- Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong SAP knowledge
- Bilingual English-Spanish
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop interpersonal relationships
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- Positive attitude, dependable, responsible, respectful
