We are searching for the best talent for **Indirect Procurement Lead **to be in **Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.**

**Purpose**

Accountable for the day-to-day operation of the function. Responsible for the development, implementation and on-going management of operations plans for the department that are in line with and support overall business objectives. At this level the role has increased responsibility including, but not limited to, additional skills, multiple lines/products/categories, diverse teams, etc.

Supervises the day-to-day personnel activities of the department. Implements purchasing policies, procedures, and performance standards. Provides input to budget planning process and observes cost control initiatives when incurring expenses. Translates departmental objectives into individual staff objectives. Coaches and develops staff in achievement of objectives. Interfaces with other departments to resolve problems and executes on agreed upon resolutions. Makes decisions on which problems need to be escalated to management. Prepares reports on key market trends and pricing as well as the development of new products or services for management. Recommends supplier selection and facilitates negotiation of contracts for key initiatives. Performs all these purchasing activities in compliance with the corresponding regulations. Compiles data for productivity reports for management.

If CSS Position: This position will have responsibilities across ETHICON and Cardiovascular and Specialty Solution (CSS) Companies Johnson and Johnson Family of Companies) including a span of multiple product platforms such as General Surgical Devices, Sutures, ENT, Infection Prevention, Electrophysiology and Surgical and Non-Surgical Aesthetics.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Ensures his/her subordinates follow the review of the purchasing requirements, the competitive bid and quoting process, and the purchase order generation for services and indirect materials.
- Ensures the implementation of the SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) process with key suppliers. Participates in supplier visits and audits to evaluate their facilities, services, performance, and other requirements for consideration into supplier certification programs. Ensures performance evaluation from key stakeholders, and provides effective feedback, implementing action plans and identifying innovative solutions, and benefits for the company.
- Responsible for the Contract management process. Follows up on the creation, development, negotiation, and administration of all the function contracts. Ensures the right controls for managing confidential information, and the records management through the right systems and approved locations, as well as the strict follow up and control of expiry dates for contracts and negotiation periods.
- Oversees his/her subordinates work schedule, projects, metrics, procedures, responsibilities, performance evaluations and development plans. Provides the resources and training to develop his/her subordinates, promoting a continuous improvement and development environment. Recognizes their good performance and supports their growth as leaders. Acts with low performance employees through development plans, to keep them focused on their development areas and to contribute to their growth.
- Manages initiatives and projects at Campus level. Provides value perspectives for the Campus and shares other regions initiatives. Supports all the Campus functions, such as Finance, Materials, Operations, Security, Human Resources, Quality, among others.
- Acts as Category Lead, managing specific spend categories, as well as the Campus spend, gaining the knowledge and experience to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME). Supports the purchasing analysts in their role as Categor
