General Responsibilities
- Leads close activities for the company to accurately report results within the closing cycle
- Prepare, reconcile, and report on relevant cost accounting close activities
- Handles journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, records, and reporting
- Support internal stakeholders to make effective business decisions
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs
- Reviews and document costs for all external inventory, labor, and material purchases
- Leads and complete internal cost audits
- Review and document inventory and material purchases
- Accurately record and update existing and new purchased materials and goods
- Compile documentation on standard costs and company production costs
- Ensure compliance to applicable accounting guidelines, polices, and internal control procedures
- Coordinate and execute physical inventories according to annual plans

Experience / Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
