Inventory Cost Accountant

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing cost expenditures and purchases within the organization. The Cost Accountant will review existing purchases, record data, recommend new cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options.- Job Description- General Responsibilities- Assists with the preparation and analysis of costs, compiling data, preparing and emitting statistical reports- Assists in performing month end close activities related to Cost Accounting- Participates in reviewing standard and actual costs for inaccuracies- Records cost information for use in controlling expenditures- Maintains one or a combination of cost accounting systems- Assists in collecting and compiling purchasing data for analysis- Prepare and complete internal cost audits- Review and document inventory and material purchases- Assists with preparing journal entries; maintains and reconciles ledger accounts- May interpret reports and records for managersExperience / Qualifications- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customersSmarterTogether- Collaborating at Sensata means working with some of the world’s most talented people in an enriching environment that is constantly pushing towards the next best thing- Employees work across functions, countries and cultures gaining new perspectives through mutual respect and open communication- As OneSensata, we are working together to make things work togetherClick here to viewSensata Recruitment Privacy StatementClick here to view ourSensata Recruitment Privacy Statement for China
