Our team of GE Digital Solution Architects works closely with manufacturing customers to design Smart Factory solutions that will connect to machines and help companies optimize their manufacturing process.

We're looking for a Solution Architect to join our team with 3-5 years of hands on experience using industrial software. Experience with Proficy MES, Historian, and SCADA software is a plus.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- A trusted technical advisor on the Commercial Sales Team. Aligns capabilities to specific outcomes, creates reference architectures, and calculates potential solution value.
- Developing specialized knowledge of latest commercial developments in own area and communication skills to influence others. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers.
- Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

**Required Qualifications**
- This role requires some experience in industrial software sales and/or support
- 3+ years of hands-on experience using industrial software (Proficy MES, Historian, and SCADA software is a plus).
- 3+ years' experience in any of the following roles: Solution Consultant, Sales Engineer, Application Engineer, Pre-Sales Solution Architect, Systems Integrator or Tech Support.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related field
- Able to legally work in Mexico - this position is only available to work remotely within Mexico.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Spanish.

**Desired Characteristics**
- Experience in** **digital manufacturing space end to end encompassing both business process understanding and technical expertise.
- Master's degree from an accredited university.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Fluency in Chinese, Korean, or Japanese language is a plus.

Expected travel: approximately 25% on average
