Important company of the Automotive Sector requests Component designer

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support all functions of the component development process such as design, drafting, 3D printing, prototype and serial production quoting, and product launches.
- Support product and project cost developments with the sales organization.
- Maintain accurate design records and follow established process standards.
- Communicate technical information to customers, suppliers, and internal teams with the ability to provide leadership with concise updates and reports.
- Forge and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers (within and outside the organization).
- Work directly with cross functional teams to achieve product readiness.
- Strive to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
- Travel to customer locations and manufacturing plants as required within North America.
- Assure that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.

- Four Year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
- Experience in component design preferred (2-5 years).
- Automotive and commercial vehicle wire harness knowledge preferred.
- Experience with 3D design software required, NX preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft suite of products required.
- Experience with project management preferred.
- Experience with 3D printing preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP, data management systems as well as understanding of quality standards (IATF).
- Self-Motivated, Highly structured and organized individual with attention to details.
- Analytical, Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Skills.
- Foreign language skills preferred (Spanish/German).

**Salary: $35,000 - $40,000 according to experience**
