- The Production and Materials Technician is responsible for providing support to the Materials and Production areas. This includes interpreting drawings, work orders, routers, and assembly instructions for correct assembly and ensuring product quality. The role also involves receiving, counting, and packaging materials for shipping.
- Key Responsibilities:

- Execute the assembly of products according to drawings, assembly instructions, and routers.
- Sign off on each operation executed and inspected on the router.
- Inspect and package finished materials.
- Set up production lines and make model changes to equipment/machines.
- Perform basic first-level analysis to determine the root cause of problems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing 5S activities.
- Execute autonomous and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Identify areas of opportunity and implement process improvements (Kaizen and Poka Yokes).
- Dispose of non-conforming materials.
- Manage inventory, including cyclic counts and system transactions.
- Package materials for shipping.
- Education & Skills
- College degree preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic English skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the maquiladora industry.
- Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions, and routers.
- Ability to work under pressure.
