Our Santa Anita location near Guadalajara is looking for a system test automation engineer to join the Test Execution team, which is part of a WW multidisciplinary organization that is passionate to drive robust and state-of-the art testing.
**Core responsibilities**:
- Collaborate in test activities with SW team and System Technical Project Leaders.
- Contribute in the definition of the best testing strategy with Test Managers.
- Design and implement test scripts and automated solutions.
- Collaborate in the execution of automated testing, analysis and reporting of test results.
**Additional responsibilities**:
- Develop from scratch solution to integrate new laboratory equipment and tools in an automated environment.
- Collaborate in the definition of new automated test methods.
- Collaborate in the definition of new test cases and test procedures.
- Follow-up SW defects reported until closed.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Engineering graduate in electronics, mechatronics, computer systems or similar.
- Understanding of microcontroller architecture, embedded software.
- Experience on manual or automated validation of embedded systems.
- Experience in programming and debugging embedded code in ANSI C.
- Experience on Object-Oriented Programming and scripting languages (Python, Pearl).
- Foundations of digital and analog electronics, proficient analyzing and understanding electronic schematics.
- Experience using or automating laboratory equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Frequency Generators, etc).
- Understanding of the Software development cycle.
- Professional spoken and written English.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Knowledge on test automation tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of hardware-in the loop systems and tools (dSpace, Simulink, AutomationDesk, Labview).
- Basics of version control tools (Git, SVN).
- Basics with configuration/requirement management systems (DOORS, MKS).
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, XCP, OBD II Diagnostics).
- Familiarity with automotive calibration tools (Vector CANape, CANalyzer, ETAS inca, ATI Vision).
- Software testing certification (ISTQB).
