Job ID: 21595**Location**:Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, MX**Software Test Engineer**As a software test engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating module software functions and designing test protocols to ensure that our products work as intended. You will also be responsible for completing all testing procedures, suggesting performance changes, and preparing performance reports for test manager.**Duties include**- Meeting with test managers to discuss software specifications and controls.- Designing manual and automated test procedures to evaluate each software product.- Write test software in C language for embedded systems.- Running test programs to ensure that testing protocols evaluate the software correctly.- Tweaking the software testing systems for maximum performance.- Finalizing and documenting testing procedures.- Completing final tests and creating test reports.- Presenting test reports to team management and suggesting software fixes.- Perform Bench level design validation tests.**Required Skills**:- BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering.- None to 4 years of experience in a similar position- Experience in embedded C programming.- None to 3 years of experience using calibration tools, and data-logging tools.- Ability to analyze data.- Strong attention to detail- Ability to collect data and compile test reports- Excellent software troubleshooting skills- Ability to design and write complex software testing procedures.- Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.- Be able to learn the details of specific features from documentation, and review with design engineers.- Self-motivated, dedicated, focused, and be able to meet tight schedules.- Creative, out-of-the-box thinking, ability to see the big picture of things, thinking beyond.**Preferred Skills**- Masters Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering- Knowledge of related key issues in CPU Utilization, Memory Management, C code in embedded systems.- Experience with configuration management tools.- Understanding of Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol.- Hardware diagnostics and circuit protection implemented in low-level software drivers.- Experience using DOORS, CANalyzer, CANape, INCA, ATI Vision, or similar tools- Work experience as a software test engineer.Vitesco Technologies is a leading international developer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art powertrain technologies for sustainable mobility.
