**Job Title**:Financial Analyst - Manufacturing Finance (Biotech Network)

**Reports To**: Advisor - Manufacturing Finance

**Direct Reports**: No

**Position Description**:
Financial Analyst supporting Manufacturing Operations within the Biotech Network.

Ensure strong financial governance and compliance, financial accounting (balance sheet and income statement), financial reporting, financial and investment decision making, business planning and forecasting.

Prepare, analyze and interpret information to facilitate the most efficient and effective running of the business to improve gross margin.

**Key Responsibilities & Deliverables**:

- Member of the Biotech Manufacturing Financial team, working closely with the Site Financial Controllers and other financial analysts based in the US. Partner, influence and support manufacturing management at the US manufacturing sites.
- Report all aspects of business performance to Site and Corporate management. Help to forecast financial performance eg. monthly, quarterly.
- Assist in the business planning processes, developing site goals, and objectives and ensuring focus on critical issues. Incorporate product demand requirements, comparisons with current and future capabilities, headcount, capital, projects and expense requirements etc.
- Ensure the company’s financial accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view of the company’s position. Help complete financial close on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
- Meet all financial compliance expectations including US GAAP accounting, Elanco financial policies and SOX expectations. Take responsibility for the financial control of all Company assets, including inventory and fixed assets etc. Ensure no major financial control misses.
- Coach and train non-financial staff on financial matters.
- Business Partnering/Influencing right outcome for Elanco and the shareholder - Operate as a trusted business partner in influencing local and corporate business decision making. Ensure that compliance is maintained and risks are understood as part of the decision process.
- Product Costing. Ensure Inventory is valued correctly by following Elanco policies on product costing.
- Link with other financial functions when required (US Financial Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Financial Controls Office, P2P, O2C..)
- Support Lean Manufacturing business processes. Prepresent Finance function in various huddles and meetings.

**Requirements**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a financial role with track record in providing business support or controllership to business partners.
- Strong analytical, financial process, and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of manufacturing concepts

**Additional Skills / Preferences**:

- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power BI)
- Experience working with SAP (or other ERP systems)
- Strong communication skills and professionalism necessary for interaction with a variety of audiences, including senior leadership. Strong interpersonal & influencing skills.
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing Operations, R&D, Supply chain, Procurement, Finance, and Sales / Marketing
- Ability to solely represent the finance function in meetings and discussions.
- Ability to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives, and drive positive change
- Ability to work across cultures and across diverse management styles

**Additional Information**

**Worker Type**: Teleworker: Work remotely from Mexico supporting US Biotech manufacturing. Occasional travel to the USA for a few days at a time will be required.

**The role will support some or all of the following manufacturing site locations**:

- Clinton, Indiana;
- Fort Dodge, Iowa;
- Elwood, KS;
