Principal Product Manager

MetaMap is looking for a Principal Product Manager who can independently manage an entire product line. This is a senior role that will partner directly with the CEO. This hire will be empowered to make their own decisions that will take the company forward.

Our platform is becoming increasingly relevant for all employers for their recruiting and talent ops needs. Mapping employee talent requires the understanding of HR, and recruiting pain points, the tools currently used in the market and the data they generate. At MetaMap every product leader uses various tools from computer vision AI to web scrapers to extract and make sense of data. This data is used to help the user and merchant interact in a way that would otherwise be impossible. Most people's talents and skills, what we call merits, are not visible to employers and it's hurting both parties. Our goal with this product is to change that.

**Responsibilities**
- Build a Roadmap for the technology team and takes part in sprint planning, and reviews
- Balance both long term goals and short term wins
- Metric and Data-Driven. Responsible for empowering stakeholders with comprehensive context on projects
- Understand consumer pain points/needs and business imperatives to define the product roadmap
- Write detailed product use cases, define customer journeys through mock-ups, workflows and charts
- Work with cross-functional teams such as Country Insights, UX and UI, Engineering, Sales, and Operations
- Own what you are building - Running edge cases, testing products proactively and measuring success metrics regularly
- Curious and aware of industry trends, competition and product innovation globally. Responsible for being up to date with industry trends
- Managed a complex product and owned its roadmap for at least a year. Seen 0 to 1 and then has helped scale the product to a bigger audience

**Skills & Experience**
- Technical background (studied CS, potentially was a developer in the past) and have worked as a B2C Product, B2B SAAS Product or if your Product was simply APIs
- Great problem solver. Has the knack to question the solution, and the ability to collaborate and identify the real-hidden problem
- Has a strong bias for action and is Passionate about the product he/she owns
- Meticulous, highly developed organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work on multiple projects in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills
