Part-Time Paralegal Job Description - **Real Estate Closings and Personal Injury Intake Must have prior experience**

Position Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
Collaborate with attorneys to prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and forms related to real estate closings.

Conduct thorough reviews of real estate documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.

Assist in coordinating communication between clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other involved parties to facilitate smooth closings.

Attend real estate closings and assist in the documentation and notarization processes as needed.

Manage and maintain organized files and records related to real estate transactions.

Handle initial intake for personal injury cases, including collecting relevant information from clients, conducting preliminary assessments, and scheduling appointments with attorneys.

Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor while interacting with clients during the personal injury intake process.

Assist in the preparation of personal injury case files by gathering medical records, accident reports, and other relevant documents.

Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to ethical guidelines in all aspects of work.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a paralegal, with specific experience in real estate closings and personal injury intake preferred.

Familiarity with real estate processes, including title searches, deed preparation, and closing documentation.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate document management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with legal team members.

Proficiency in legal research and the use of relevant legal software and tools.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.

Understanding of legal ethics and the importance of maintaining client confidentiality.

A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Notary public certification (or willingness to obtain certification) for notarization of documents during real estate closings.

Flexible schedule to accommodate part-time hours on-site.

**Education**:
Associate degree or certificate in paralegal studies is preferred, but relevant work experience will also be considered.

Working Conditions:
This is a part-time, on-site position that may require occasional flexibility in hours based on workload and deadlines.
