We're looking for an innovative Electric Vehicles Communications Associate, Mexico with a unique combination of skills who wants to play a major role in tackling climate change.
As a strategic communications professional, you’ll be joining our Transport team to collaborate internationally with a dynamic array of expert partners, to accelerate the transition to electric mobility. You’ll be passionate about creating a sustainable future, and excited to experiment, learn and adapt your work to become more effective at making it happen.

**How you'll contribute**:
**Strategic Communications**
- Design, create, and deploy a national communications plan to accelerate progress on electrification of road transport and meet climate goals
- Lead regular meetings with partners to coordinate and execute this plan
- Prioritize key moments, plan messaging and materials in advance, empower coalition members and experts, and broaden social support for climate action
- Work with coalition communicators and integrate their work into the overall
communications strategy, messaging tone, and opportunities to elevate the
coalition’s work around key moments
- Serve as a resource to partners to provide communications training
- Draft, edit and pitch opinion pieces, news stories, podcast interviews, and broadcast media slots, in local language.
- Foster a wide range of media contacts and relationships to further this work
- Execute media monitoring on a regular basis to measure the effectiveness and impact of the communications activities
**Content and Digital development**
- Develop messaging and social media guidance for coalition use around big or newsworthy moments pertaining to passenger vehicle electrification.
- Work with external contractors or agencies as needed to oversee the creation of digital assets, implementation of ad campaigns, or other activities as needed.
- Regularly review and refine understanding of a target audience, where they are, and how to reach them.
- Liaise with influencers and other potential voices to shape an effective outreach strategy.
- Advise and steer strategy on running social media + traditional media ads
- Any other duties to be assigned from time to time
**- Fluency in Spanish and English, across speaking, reading and writing, and is based in Mexico.
- Experience working within a coalition setting for non-profit organizations, advocacy campaigns, policymaking, or similar.
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines and balance numerous projects in a fast paced and changing environment.
- Ability to develop and drive new initiatives, work with multiple stakeholders and organizations, oversee projects to completion and measure results.
- Ability to prioritize effectively; superb time management skills.
- Willingness to work across various time zones, as required.
- Willingness to attend EV related meetings and events in-country and internationally.
- An established local network of media or influencer contacts.
- The disposition to work generously with colleagues in a high-trust global community of peers.
- Ideally, experience of working with or communicating to policymakers, although not essential
