**The Role**:
This role will require someone to work in our Monterrey, Mexico office 2 - 3 times a week.

As a part of the Business Assurance Centre of Excellence, the Principal Business Assurance Specialist will report to the Senior Business Assurance Manager.

The Principal Business Assurance Specialist will support in building awareness and embedding ‘best practice behaviors’ around account compliance and governance, driving Client Services and Operations teams to be ‘Audit Ready’ at all times. They will support the management of a client-specific framework, providing assurance that processes and controls are effective in ensuring AMS and client-specific standards have been met. The Business Assurance Consultant will liaise with the account management team (e.g., Senior Managers, Managers, Team Leaders) on a regular basis to provide assurance and highlight risks/ issues that have been identified. They will support in the maintenance and improvement of business assurance routines and practices for their aligned account(s).

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Assurance**
- Support both client’s and AMS’s objectives by providing assurance for their aligned account(s) that the ongoing AMS processes and controls are effective
- Ensure Account Standards are in place and maintained regularly for aligned account(s)
- Contribute to best practice consultation, guidance, and training (e.g., governance/assurance training, maintaining governance toolkit, etc.)

**People**
- Build awareness and embed ‘best practice behaviors’ through personal involvement, stretch and progression
- Contribute to the embedding of the AMS ‘Audit Ready’ mindset in the Client Services, Operations, and Specialist teams

**Risk**
- Support in ensuring effective operational risk management is in place for the aligned account(s)
- Leverage Account Standards to identify and manage risks with a focus on prevention rather than remediation

**Responsibilities**:

- Support to implement and manage a client-specific compliance framework which protects AMS and client organizations from legal, financial, regulatory, and reputational impacts
- Provide assurance that processes and controls are effective in ensuring AMS and client-specific standards have been met
- Support the Risk Management framework by tracking and monitoring risks, including risk mitigation plans, for aligned account(s)
- Support risk management by feeding any appropriate data and insight into the AMS and/or client Risk Management process
- Ensure controls exist to monitor all mandatory training requirements for both AMS and the client and ensure compliance as well as highlighting any risks or issues
- Provide oversight ensuring appropriate controls are in place to support the governance of AMS personnel on the account, in line with any service level or key performance metrics
- Support the design, management and development of operational and contractual audits ensuring the AMS services are compliant with process, systems, and contract

**Skills & Experience**:
**Required Experience**:

- Experience of working in a recruitment environment, with an understanding of recruitment processes
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong ability to understand and follow a specific standard
- Ability to identify risks, issues, or continuous improvement initiatives and raise these to the Business Assurance Manager
- Positive, proactive, and solution-orientated approach to work
- Strong organizational skills, ability to follow schedules and keep governance tools & reporting up to date in an accurate and timely manner
- Ability to identify potential problems and acts swiftly to eliminate these
- Flexible attitude to supporting with additional business assurance activities and changes to workload priorities

**Desired Experience**:

- Understands and has experience working in the compliance and assurance environment mitigating and avoiding risk to the AMS service
