- As a key member of the technical team alongside Engineers and Data Users, you will be expected to define and contribute at a high-level to many aspects of our collaborative Agile development process:
- Active involvement in achieving the strategic goals of the Wholesale Data & Analytic steam by delivering a stable platform to host data-based insights for users, focusing on Cloudera (Hadoop) technologies.
- Implement the tools and processes, handling performance, scale, availability, accuracy, and monitoring.
Product support & troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 3+ years professional platform management and at least 2 years within Big data environment
- 2+ years’ experience of operating Hadoop or Spark clusters.
- Agile and DevOps experience - at least 2+ years
- Experience working in Linux environment
- Experience working with Big Data tools and building high performance, high throughput, and distributed data pipeline and big data platform with Coudera (Hadoop), Spark, Kakfa, Hive, and Presto.
- Experience in building tools to diagnose and fix complex distributed systems handling petabytes of data & drive opportunities to automate infrastructure, deployments, and observability of data services.
- Experience in testing, monitoring, administering, optimizing and operating multiple Cloudera / Spark clusters across cloud providers - GCP and on premise data centres, primarily in Python, Java and Scala.
- Strong background in enterprise development techniques.
