**Overall responsibilities and duties**:
The Testing Engineer ensures the design, installation and startup of manufacturing processes in our plant. The role includes participating in early estimation of testing needs on programs, working through DFA and feasibility assessments with the design team, drafting and launching requests for quotation, managing suppliers during through the equipment design and build, supporting in installation in the plant, validating the output of the equipment achieves the needs of Faurecia and the delivery of all documentation required by the Faurecia Quality System. The testing engineer will then document lessons learned through analysis of Things Gone Right (TGR) and Things Gone Wrong (TGW).

**The main missions of the role are**:

- Perform cycle time and work content analysis based on early product design
- Drive design reviews and DFA assessment with the product engineering team
- Review customer and internal equipment and product specifications
- Participate in development base documentation (process flow, PFMEA, control plan)
- Develop equipment and tooling specifications
- Participate in RFQ processes with purchasing
- Lead supplier reviews ensuring compliance to specification
- Follow and document the selected vendor design reviews and feedback
- Perform tool and equipment buy off at supplier site
- Installation of equipment at Faurecia production site
- Setup and validation of all equipment at Faurecia
- Development of all working documentation for equipment (Standardized work, OK First Part, TPM, etc)
- Ensure adherence to rules for ergonomics and HSE
- Maintain good housekeeping standards
- Follow all safety procedures
- On specific projects, review design to ensure product assembly ease, VA/VE activities
- Participate in feasibility studies
- Month end reporting
- Sign-off on all sub assembly designs assuring there are not testing/assembly issues in the manufacturing process
- Participate in Prototype builds to assure that testing/assembly process can be run efficiently in Production.
- All other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:
Minimum education level: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering or related field.

**Experience**:

- 5-10 years experience in manufacturing of which 5 must be in automotive
- Plant process engineering experience an asset

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Good Computer skills
- Programming software Lab View or similar
- Experience using CAD software
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
- 6 sigma green belt, strong statistical skills
- Experience in performing capability studies and gage R&R
- Ability to work in a team environment, utilizing the skills of others to accomplish common goals
- Travel as required by program assigned. Extended travel may occur depending on program requirements
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
