As the LATAM Localization Content Manager, you will understand the importance of localization in the content production process and will ensure the timely delivery of some of our top translated stories and episodes to our users. You are an avid WEBTOON reader with localization and copyediting experience who can manage other linguists and copyeditors. **Responsibilities**: - Oversees the life-cycle of a project from greenlighting, initial translation, final copy-edit, digital delivery, and post-launch performance analysis - Manages assignment of content to vendors and freelancers, and work with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple projects and time zones - Manage translation budgets and reports - Identifies issues and solutions to optimize the localization workflow - Ensures delivery of quality content by the deadline - Performs final quality assurance and content operations for WEBTOON series to ensure smooth and error-free delivery to readers - Identifies inconsistencies and contextual errors in the writing - Works with copyeditors on promotional copy for various series - Market and content research, and special duties as necessary **Requirements**: - Loves reading WEBTOON series in both Korean and English/Spanish - Genuinely interested in WEBTOON business and has a general knowledge of the Spanish content and platform - Has hands-on experience in content or digital media operations - Written and spoken fluency in Korean with an excellent grasp on the nuances of both languages - Extreme attention to detail and accuracy - 5+ years professional experience in localization management, copyediting, or Korean > Spanish translation - Exceptional project management, data management, and communication skills - Working knowledge of localization tools and building and maintaining linguistic assets - Ability to work proactively and independently in a demanding environment - Strong problem-solving skills - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Language Studies, Localization Management, Translation or related field preferred - Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and PM tools - Knowledge of lettering, graphic design, and DTP a plus - Business English proficiency required WEBTOON is owned by South Korea’s internet conglomerate Naver. In 2021, Naver acquired webnovel app Wattpad. The move aligned WEBTOON, the world’s largest digital comics platform, with Wattpad, the world’s leading webnovel platform.
