Protective and Marine Coatings Project Lead

As a Protective and Marine Coatings Project Lead you will responsible for leading efficient project execution using Project Management capabilities and tools. You will act globally, across technology and market segments to most deliver PMC Strategy. The Project Leader will work with leadership from PPG’s Protective and Marine Coatings business as the project representative to Global Leadership Team for main project reviews, portfolio management and product management. You will report to Global Portfolio and Project Management Leader. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead project execution using Project Management tools and expertise. - Train regional technical/commercial teams on rigorous PM tools and methodology. - Manage ensuring important resources are identified and assigned to projects to achieve projects. - Work with resource holders. Escalate any unresolvable gaps in important resources. - Deliver project commitments (timelines, resources and results) and ensure project ownership from project team members. - Manage partner communications. - Be an objective voice-of-the business in highlighting relevant risks, presenting options and recommending the best path forward for the business at the individual project level.Projects will include Compass projects (NPD: New Product Development), Product Complexity and Product Life Cycle Optimization projects in the PMC business **Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in technical/related field of study; MBA. - At least 5 years’ of product development project management experience within a large multinational / matrixed organization. - Experience with product launches within B2B organizations. - PMI certification, willingness to obtain within 12 months of being hired.. - Business analytics relationship management, strategy development, project management, and change management skills - Ability to travel domestically and internationally. **About us**: **PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD** **The PPG Way** Every single day at PPG: **We partner with customers to create mutual value.** **We are "One PPG" to the world.** **We trust our people every day, in every way.** **We make it happen.** **We run it like we own it.** **We do better today than yesterday - everyday.** Benefits will be discussed with you by your recruiter during the hiring process.
