**What does a great Portfolio Manager do?**

You are coming on board at a truly exciting time as Travelport builds out its next-generation technology marketplace, Travelport+. To take on this challenge, we have created a new team called **Product & Engineering Operations **. This team reports directly to the Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) and sits alongside the Product and the Engineering teams - its focus is to increase product delivery success and productivity through alignment of people, processes and tools.

As the Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for orchestrating and managing the investment framework of our portfolio and ensuring that Product and Engineering teams have consistent tools, measures and processes needed to understand and report on the investment we make. Our portfolio represents all the work we are doing across Product and Engineering to deliver our next-generation marketplace and beyond.

In this role, you will engage with a broad array of leaders across the business - including Product Management, Engineering/Technology, Architecture, Finance, Commercial, Customer Strategy, Customer Operations (help desk) and Go-to-Market. Furthermore, you will work closely with your manager, the **Investment and Productivity Lead **, to shape the tools and processes for investment planning, monitoring, and reporting that Product and Engineering will use. You will also need to draw on inputs from the other members of the team you work with, as well as from the **Roadmap Planning & Operations Lead **and their team members who manage roadmap planning and execution across our Agile delivery organization. You will work with this latter group to embed across the organization the framework you create. This is a highly collaborative and pivotal role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Orchestrate Strategic Investment/Value Planning so that we have transparency on what Product and Engineering are investing in, we have metrics to understand why we are funding it, and we have tools to track and measure it
- Orchestrate our rhythm so that we have the right structure, forums and data to track and measure our portfolio investment
- Establish and track the Portfolio Kanban (Portfolio Epic level) showing our roadmap investment breakdown
- Visualize the portfolio investment to support the leadership team (LT) in making pivot/persevere decisions driven by data
- Track portfolio epic alignment with Travelport’s strategic imperatives to highlight that we are working on the right things at the right time
- Monitor and advise on the portfolio/worksystem guardrails
- Engage with and guide the community of Portfolio Epic Owners to support best practice in investment management
- Drive continuous improvement across our portfolio investment management

**What we look for/who would prosper in this role...**

**Required**:

- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong strategic finance and analytical skills with 7+ years’ experience including P&L understanding
- Experience working in a Product Technology environment, ideally with Product Management, Technology Delivery and Commercial stakeholders, driving impactful transformation initiatives
- Experience working with an Agile delivery methodology, ideally Scaled Agile (SAFe)
- Comfortable working with and using data and analytics to drive decision-making
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint required including extensive experience of financial analysis
- Demonstrable ability to contribute to and influence decision-making across multiple organizations. A team player in proactively developing cross-functional support. Must be self-motivated and possess strong initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to present to various levels of stakeholders, including to C-level executives

**Preferred**:

- Experience working in a fast-paced customer-focused delivery environment
- Solid understanding of travel technology is a nice-to-have but key to success will be a desire to build this knowledge so you can help us win in this industry
- Prior experience of tools such as Cognos BI, Power BI, and QlikView helpful
