**Your Part in It**:
Working from Monterrey, MX we are looking for our next Carrier Development Representative. As Carrier Development in Mexico, you will be responsible for managing relationships with new and current carriers to provide the most cost-effective, high-level service for our customers. Main focus is to help create a stronger carrier base for Intra-Mexico shipments (Embarques Nacionales).
**CARRIER DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE**
**What the Job Entails**:
- Aggressively solicit carriers to secure coverage for customer freight, utilizing our technology platforms and other data sources.
- Communicate regularly with carriers to assess capacity availability, discuss network opportunities, and negotiate transportation rates.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of carrier business through strategic relationship-building and negotiation.
- Optimize carrier rates to maximize profitability while ensuring optimal load volume.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing carriers to deliver superior service to our customers.
- Conduct continuous follow-ups to align carrier networks with Traffic Tech’s business needs.
- Stay informed on current market trends, seasonality, and industry developments to negotiate competitive rates.
- Provide clear communication of load details and shipment requirements to carrier dispatch and drivers throughout the shipment lifecycle.
- Update system records promptly with load status changes, issues, and concerns for internal team visibility.
- Represent both customers and carriers professionally and respectfully in all interactions.
- Monitor shipment progress daily to ensure coverage, on-time delivery, and resolution of any transit issues.
- Collaborate effectively with customer operations, account management, and sales teams to enhance service delivery.
- Meet carriers in person to maintain relationship
**What We Are Looking For**:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Minimum 1 year experience in the logistics industry
- College degree preferred
- A proactive, sales-oriented mindset with a strong inclination towards relationship-building.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and negotiating terms.
- A team player who is self-motivated and dedicated.
- Highly driven to achieve success and excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational abilities and multitasking skills.
- Persistent, positive attitude with a focus on solutions.
