Mechanical Engineer
BEA-TT designs, develops, and supports state-of-the-art Automated Fare Collection solutions for transit agencies in North America which currently serve over 15,000,000 passengers per day. At BEA-TT we are looking for new engineering team members that will focus on the creation of a new, unique platform that will serve the North American market as a first of its kind, offering scalability, flexibility, and affordability.
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and software for various engineering and manufacturing projects. The incumbent will be involved in the complete project cycle, starting from designing and prototyping to testing and implementation, ensuring the product meets the set standards, and satisfies all the required engineering specifications.
Mechanical Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Develop prototypes, conduct tests and make improvements and modifications to designs based on test results or feedback from other team members.
- Design, develop, and optimize mechanical parts for our products, which are oriented to the public transportation industry, such as ticket vending machines.
- Analyze and interpret technical reports, prepare blueprints, technical drawings, CAD drawings for manufacturing, and schematics.
- Ensure mechanical designs comply with legal standards, regulations and codes.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and clients on technical issues related to mechanical design and development.
- Conduct software integration tests with mechanical systems and devices to confirm their operability and reliability.
- Provide technical support to team members, including technicians, developers, and project managers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver multi-disciplinary engineering projects. Mechanical Engineer Qualifications/Skills:
- High level of creativity and problem-solving skills to solve complex design challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team oriented Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or Software Engineering with a proven track record of designing mechanical systems and software programs.
- Knowledge and experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks), simulation software, and Rapid Prototyping processes.
**Salary**: $23,000.00 - $26,000.00 per month
