Overview:
Ellucian Experience is our exciting new product that connects higher education users to timely, actionable information. A companion native app reaches students on their smartphones. Its robust software development toolkit simplifies feature expansion by internal teams, client campuses, and Ellucian partners. We are looking for an innovative Lead Software Engineer to join our R&D organization to be part of this vision.

**Where you will make an impact**
- You are able to work across multiple layers of the technology stack.
- You will research new tools and technologies and will suggest design and code improvements.
- You will lead the delivery of new features; designing, development, and delivery of new solutions with mínimal direction.
- You will provide technical leadership in the analysis and review of proposed system features and integration, security, scalability, and performance requirements
- You will work on complex issues and your implemented solutions will be consistent with departmental objectives.
- You will influence across multiple teams and with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- You will incorporate industry best practices and influence team standards to enhance maintainability and extensibility
- You will drive quality software development by building unit tests, integration and automated tests.

**What you will bring**
- Solid, hands-on, extensive experience of UI Layers - ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Have a strong, working knowledge of web accessibility fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with cloud tools, services, and technologies (preferably AWS)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins
- Solid fundamentals of modern software development and design.
- Hands-on experience with the development of highly available, scalable enterprise systems
- Independent and self-motivated
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and deliver in a challenging environment
- BS in Computer Science or similar degree
