Supplier Quality Engineer

**What will you work on?**

This role will work closely with North America-based Product Integrity team, North America-based Manufacturing Engineering team, and manufacturing facilities to ensure Spin Master products meet regulatory, performance, and quality expectations.

**How will you create impact?**
- Validate manufacturing control plans, critical process controls, and setup process controls for products to ensure consistent quality and product performance.
- Coach and monitor new processes implementation in factories to ensure finished good quality complies with Spin Master requirements. Advise and follow up with suppliers on production process improvement to avoid the occurrence of systematic quality problems.
- Oversee all supplier audits including social and security audits, CSR and licensor audits.
- Coordinate annual certification testing with 3rd party test labs.
- Conduct new factory surveys.
- Partner with internal Engineering team to conduct failure analysis, handle customer complaints. Work with suppliers to develop corrective action plans and preventive measures.
- Oversee 3rd party audit company including resolution of concerns raised by inspectors and/or factories and disposition of failed inspections according to company guidelines.
- Provide training to factory QC inspections and 3rd party inspection agency to align the product quality requirements for products. Coordinate 3rd party inspections as needed.
- Follow up on quality issues from QC inspections to maintain product quality performance.
- Conduct RCCA and follow-up for quality complaints. Work closely with internal and external parties to make sure quality issues are well resolved.
- Monitor the quality corrective action plans implemented at suppliers to improve the product quality in mass production stage.
- Oversee supplier participation and train new suppliers on Chemicals Management Database (CMD).
- Provide additional Quality Assurance support as needed.

**What are your skills and experience?**
- Experience with significant time in manufacturing quality functions, preferably in the Toy industry
- Strong knowledge of toy safety regulations.
- Strong knowledge of PFMEA required. Knowledge of DFMEA preferred.
- Fluency in written and spoken English required.
- Experience working with 3rd party test labs preferred.
- Hands-on factory experience in Quality Assurance.
