**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:
In order to grow and build a successful career at The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
- Supervise and develop a team of three Payroll Analysts responsible for payroll operations across three plants with 3,000+ employees.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processes, including regular and special payments (e.g., Christmas bonus, profit sharing), ensuring accuracy and compliance with Mexican legislation.
- Manage payroll-related taxes and statutory obligations, including IMSS, INFONAVIT, State Payroll Tax, Income Tax withholdings, and bi-monthly Social Security salary base calculations.
- Reconcile payroll accounts, electronic paystubs (timbrados) vs. SAT database, and balance sheet accounts; ensure timely posting of entries in SAP.
- Coordinate payroll dispersion files and banking processes to guarantee timely payments to employees and statutory institutions.
- Partner with external and internal auditors, as well as HR, Tax, and Legal teams, to support compliance reviews, SOX requirements, and statutory audits (IMSS/INFONAVIT).
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by promoting process automation, system enhancements, and adaptation to regulatory changes in collaboration with IT and Finance.
- Provide financial and analytical support to Plant Operations and leadership, including payroll cost reporting, budgeting, and forecasting (People Cost).
- Ensure timely preparation, review, and submission of required fiscal declarations and reporting obligations (DIM, DIOT, Sueldos y Salarios, Socios y Accionistas).
- Act as a business partner to management by advising on payroll risks, compliance issues, and opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
**What do you need?**
**Job Qualifications**
To be considered for this position, an individual must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar payroll leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, social security, benefits, and Mexican labor law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel advanced), TRESS, and SAP (or similar ERP system).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) with strong verbal and written communication skills.
**Preferred Requirements**:
- Experience working with Workday or other global HR/payroll systems.
- Prior exposure to multinational corporate environments and SOX compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process automation, system implementations, or payroll optimization initiatives.
