**Ocean & Air Import / Export Specialist - Bogota Office**

Are you ready to take your logistics expertise to the next level? Trans-Pro Logistics Inc., a trusted leader in North American transportation solutions for over 35 years. We’re expanding our team in Bogota and looking for a skilled Ocean & Air Import / Export Specialist to manage ocean (FCL/LCL)

and air shipments.

**What You’ll Do**:

- **Coordinate Shipments**: Oversee ocean (FCL/LCL) and air import/export shipments from start to finish.
- **Booking & Tracking**: Book cargo and track shipments from origin to delivery, ensuring seamless operations.
- **Documentation**: Prepare and manage all shipping paperwork (B/L, AWB, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, etc.).
- **Compliance**: Ensure full compliance with customs regulations and coordinate with brokers for clearances.
- **Communication**: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and agents to ensure smooth communication and effective issue resolution.
- **Invoice Processing**: Verify and process freight invoices, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- **Cost Optimization**: Monitor and optimize logistics costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration**: Work with various stakeholders to support operational excellence.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Experience**: 5 to 10 years in freight forwarding, with proven experience at an FF company.
- **Industry Contacts**: Demonstrated success in engaging with maritime companies (steamship companies) and an established network in the drayage sector.
- **Expertise**: Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international trade laws, and Incoterms.
- **Skills**: Highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of working independently under pressure, and adept at multitasking.
- **Technology**: Experience with freight management systems is a plus.
