We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Health & Safety Officer to join our team in support of a leading Software Developer office environment. As a key member of our team, you will also serve as a visible ambassador—both in-person and on virtual platforms—communicating safety protocols and fostering a positive work culture. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing proactive health and safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and safeguarding an environment where employees can thrive.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Safety Program Development**: Design, implement, and regularly update comprehensive health and safety protocols tailored to a modern office environment.
- **Risk Assessment & Audits**: Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and oversee the implementation of corrective measures.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure the office adheres to all relevant federal, local, and industry-specific safety regulations.
- **Training & Communication**: Develop and deliver clear safety training sessions for employees, ensuring that all team members understand and follow policies.
- **Incident Management**: Serve as the primary point of contact for safety incidents, ensuring prompt investigation, accurate documentation, and the implementation of preventive strategies.
- **Professional Representation**: Engage consistently in professional virtual and in-person meetings, maintaining a polished and confident presentation that supports our client’s brand standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Fully-bilingual (English/Spanish). Several daily interactions will be in English.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience managing health and safety programs in office or corporate environments.
- Strong record-keeping skills and the ability to generate insightful safety reports.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present effectively in virtual settings.
- A proven ability to balance technical safety expertise with a professional and approachable demeanor.
