**Responsabilities**
- CI logistics savings initiatives and route improvements using TUMS (Trailer Utilization Management System) & TI freight payment data to reduce inbound MX freight - $500K annual savings targets leveraging mode optimization, packaging improvements & rate savings
- MX Plant Inbound freight management (current & new programs) expert
- New Program Launch support for pre-production, nonproduction & packaging shipments
- CI Strategy - continue to implement MX freight consolidation for Intra MX shipments to YF MX/US/CA plants & MX Tier 1 shipments to US/CA YF Plants. Includes new suppliers & existing suppliers to eliminate light, infrequent direct trucks and then pool & consolidate our common vendors with existing daily milkruns and sharing that freight to our Laredo cross dock. Direct plant freight savings as a result of sharing YF freight & taking advantage of daily shipments to reduce DOH inventory through ordering daily vs 1 or 2/week
- Logistics support for YF Seating & Safety Systems and leverage our optimized freight network for savings by sharing freight
- Regional plant alignment set up with specific mode area of expertise (Ocean, Truckload, Consolidation, Small Pkg, & Broker support)
- Managing dotted line relationship with MX plant logistics coordinators (freight payment & accrual activity) leading weekly/monthly freight calls reviewing plan freight spend outlook, & freight classification using TI freight payment data to support accrual activity
- Mode selection and routing instruction support for MX plants
- MX Carrier & customs broker relationship management - all modes and POA process set up with Incoterms FCA
- Premium freight plant support - tactical
- Plant tactical ops support (day to day support)
- Multi-functional department collaboration with YF Customs, Procurement, Program, Tooling, Engineering, & Finance
- RFQ support in conjunction with YF Logistics Procurement team
- Annual Freight Profit planning process support with Controllers & Material Managers
- TI E-return support on carrier invoicing issues
- Logistics Month end input and report for YF MX plants
