In 2021, Littelfuse had net sales of $2.1 billion.Reporting to Engineering Manager, you as an Advanced Materials Engineer will be responsible for executing advanced and breakthrough research projects and work closely with the New Product Development team.About the Job:- Responsible for running Advanced Research Projects in IBU - Identify topics, define needs and requirements, and execute projects to be transferred into Product Development.- Identify major technology trends relevant for IBU and translate them into IBU.- Collaboration with Innovation partners.- Collaboration with key customers.- Participate in engineering and innovation forums, tracking latest market developments.About You:- Master of Science in an engineering discipline.- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Engineering or similar is preferred.- 5 to 7 years of experience in an Advanced Research function.- Track record of being able to drive innovation and advanced research projects.- 3+ years of experience in Circuit Protection preferable.- Familiar with all active and passive circuit protection technology.- Familiar with the IP relevant for the markets and products IBU is serving.- Able to collaborate with multicultural and distributed development teams and drive for collaboration to achieve market leadership in markets we serve.- Drives innovation in advanced research and fosters global collaboration and innovation.- Able to handle complex problems efficiently by collaborating with staff members globally distributed.Littelfuse strives to empower associate growth and development in a culture of ongoing collaboration and respect for diverse global perspectives and expertise.
