Lead Ai Platform Engineer

We are seeking a capable **Lead AI Platform Engineer** to architect and manage sophisticated systems that enable stream-aligned teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure AI-driven solutions.

In this role, you will provide mentorship to team members, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure production-grade deployment of machine learning models. Additionally, you will drive innovation by exploring and experimenting with advanced technologies.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend systems leveraging MLFlow, Kubernetes, Databricks, and Docker
- Drive the creation of efficient APIs designed for data processing and machine learning model integration
- Oversee the operationalization and deployment of machine learning models to address complex challenges through MLFlow frameworks
- Define strategies aimed at building scalable, available, and repeatable cloud-based solutions
- Develop and refine automated cloud configuration processes capable of functioning at scale
- Champion optimizations across systems, processes, and tools to enhance usability and overall functionality
- Provide expertise in cloud automation, orchestration, resilience, operability, and security from an architectural viewpoint
- Ensure business alignment of cloud solutions while adapting implementations for evolving needs
- Lead consensus-building discussions among technical and business teams to support decision-making and successful delivery
- Mentor junior engineers and data scientists in effectively utilizing frameworks and tools
- Evaluate and recommend emerging products, services, and technologies for integration within the platform
- Foster team collaboration by actively participating in ceremonies, discussions, and retrospectives
- Act as a critical escalation point during incident responses, offering guidance to improve system resilience
- Identify risks, assess technical challenges, define robust solutions, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders
- Maintain a future-focused outlook on trends in business, operations, and technology to shape capabilities and strategies

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent blend of education and professional experience
- At least 5 years of experience managing highly available, scalable infrastructure, solutions, and services
- A minimum of 1 year in a leadership role related to technical or engineering teams
- Proven expertise in Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) services and solutions across leading providers
- Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as Python and modern JVM languages, including Java, Scala, or Kotlin
- Comprehensive understanding of machine learning workflows, from foundational concepts to advanced algorithms and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Extensive hands-on experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, as well as technologies like Parquet formats and Delta Lake
- Deep familiarity with agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitLab and Terraform
- Demonstrated record of success in deploying and managing machine learning models at scale within production environments
- Competency in data structures, complex algorithms, and best practices for scalable system design
- Advanced expertise in notebook-based workflows using platforms like Jupyter or Databricks
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or demonstrated equivalent qualifications in cloud architecture and computing
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to articulate technical solutions to varied audiences
- English proficiency at a minimum of B2+ level to support effective collaboration across diverse teams

**Nice to have**
- Showcase of advanced experience within the AWS ecosystem, including AWS S3, EC2, RDS, EMR, RedShift, Glue, Sagemaker, Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch
- Knowledge of Apache Parquet and competency in transforming data using cutting-edge data lake solutions
