Here are the key aspects of the role: **About the Role** In this opportunity as a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for: - **Database Management**:Install, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server instances across multiple environments. - **Performance Tuning**:Optimize database performance through index tuning, query optimization, and resource monitoring. - **Backup and Recovery**:Design and implement robust backup strategies and disaster recovery processes. - **High Availability Solutions**:Implement and manage high availability solutions such as Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, and Log Shipping. - **Monitoring**:Enhance the SQL monitoring process - **Troubleshooting**:Diagnose and resolve complex database issues in production and non-production environments. - **Security Audits**:Perform regular security audits and implement measures to protect sensitive data. - **Documentation**:Accurately document work and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Support 24x7 Operations/Production SQL Server 2016+ **About You** You’re a fit for the role if your background includes: - A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering. - At least 8 years of hands-on experience managing SQL Server in various environments - Proficiency in SQL Server versions 2016-2022, including installation, configuration, and migration - Strong understanding of high availability and disaster recovery solutions - Deep knowledge of SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies - Experience with cloud-based SQL Server deployments (Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS, etc.) - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills - Experience in monitoring and acting on critical production issues (Datadog experience would be optimal) - AWS Experience (specifically designing, implementing, and/or supporting RDS) - Experience in PostgreSQL will be an added advantage. - Excellent communication skills to interact with various teams and stakeholders - Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously LI-FZ1 **What’s in it For You?** - **Hybrid Work Model**:We’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working environment (2-3 days a week in the office depending on the role) for our office-based roles while delivering a seamless experience that is digitally and physically connected. - **Flexibility & Work-Life Balance**:Flex My Way is a set of supportive workplace policies designed to help manage personal and professional responsibilities, whether caring for family, giving back to the community, or finding time to refresh and reset.
