**Activities and Responsibilities**:

- Lead team of strategic buyers
- Challenge demand and specifications
- Maximize savings delivery and secure Total Cost of Ownership reductions for a category
- Oversee development/ execution of strategies through the strategic sourcing process for specific category of spend areas
- Oversee the process to select and manage suppliers
- Measure and track internal performance within each spend category
- Monitor strategy implementation
- Drive annual productivity improvements in each spend category
- Develop an expertise in the category spend categories
- Other duties as assigned include ad hoc analyses or special projects as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelors Degree, Business, Operations or Engineering (highly preferred)
- 15+ year track record within Procurement, track record of driving change
- Previous experience with category required
- Strong ability in reading and managing data to drive business decisions.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing methodologies
- Ability to lead, influence and drive change in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong Analytical and Technical Skills
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing training and certification preferred
- Supply Chain Certification (i.e., CPM, CPIM, etc.) preferred
- Strong negotiating skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Outstanding influencing and cross-functional skills
