Global Affairs- PR & Communications- We are seeking a Communications Lead to join our PR & Communications team in Mexico. In this role, you will manage all communications (internal and external) for Spotify across Mexico. You will lead all corporate, consumer & brand, music content, and advertising communications and influencer relations across the market.

- The role is ultimately responsible for all communications in line with the overall business objectives, goals, and audiences for Spotify. This role contains independent work, which requires you to be willing to carry out multifaceted tasks of the communications spectrum.
- The role may also be at the front line of a diverse range of time-sensitive issues and crisis management situations, requiring a cool head and impeccable problem-solving and communications skills. Above all, your work will impact the way Mexico understands and learns about Spotify.
- This role will work from our offices in Mexico City and will report to Spotify’s Director of Communications in Latin America.
What You'll Do
- Corporate communications: run all communications activities in Mexico on behalf of Spotify and its senior executives and their activities
- Internal communications and consumer communications: set the local strategy and implement communications campaigns across all channels
- Crisis communications: oversee short-term reactive communications for the market; make an assessment of the situation, create a plan (e.g. developing reactive statements and key messages) and act quickly to get partner agreement
- Music industry communications: connect artists and fans by presenting Spotify’s value to the creator audience and our work
- Trade communications: build Spotify’s profile as a leading advertising platform to brand and marketing trade audiences
- Run PR agency support in Mexico; provide the brief, direction, and ongoing guidance to agencies
- Media Relations: build and maintain strong relations with key media across the market; drive communication objectives and generate accurate and positive coverage
- Partner engagement: engage and drive consensus from senior-level partners at the highest levels across the business including the Mexico management team and regional partners
Who You Are
- 10+ years of relevant communications experience in Consumer PR, digital, media, entertainment
- Experience in music industry PR or in the tech industry
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Demonstrated success developing and implementing strategic PR campaigns
- Motivated self-starter with a hands-on attitude
- Ability to work independently across tasks and levels
- Well-versed in the narrative, storytelling, communications channels, and writing for a variety of audiences
- Thrives working in a fast-paced industry and environment without sacrificing attention to detail
- Collaborative individual who enjoys partnering closely across teams and departments to create and distribute the most impactful communications possible
- Strong eye for business, project management, and agency management skills
- Familiarity with the media and influencer landscape in Mexico
- Excellent organizational skills
