**Claims Services Analyst**

**Education and experience**:

- Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Customer Service or Transactional Operations area

**Knowledge**:

- Intermedite English
- Intermediate excel proficiency (pivot table, conditional formatting, formulas, among others)
- Reading comprehension skills

**Preferred**:

- Insurance background
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a high-volume, production environment

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Enters or retrieves policy information and inputs non-routine entries and transactions.
- Accesses various systems to input data and compiles information and reports for internal customers.
- Provides technical rating and policy issuance for routine to moderately complex transactions in support of underwriting.
- Interacts with Zurich staff to obtain and provide necessary information in order to resolve issues and provide timely, accurate service to attract and retain profitable business.
- Works on assigned lines of business and maintains an in-depth understanding of 2 or more lines of business.
- Assists underwriting teams by computing rates and premiums for policies.
- Rates and issues lines of business for supported business units.
- Identifies types of risks and associated exposures for standard (e.g. guaranteed cost) coverages.
- Identifies and enters exposures, classes, coverages, limits for guaranteed cost/schedule rated policies and standard endorsements; performs issuance.
- Reviews, identifies and categorizes loss data and loss thresholds (e.g. Large losses, maximum single loss, valuation dates) for standard (e.g. guaranteed cost) policies.
- Electronically processes routine to moderately complex insurance submissions using internal computer systems.
- Understands state and bureau policy reporting requirements. Understands rate approval process and appropriately leverages rate maintenance tools to ensure appropriate rates and forms editions are applied.
- Performs self-check of own work to ensure accuracy and reconciles discrepancies.
- Processes all work within department standards and can articulate key compliance impacts (e.g. rate effective and form edition dates).
- Provides trouble shooting and problem solving for standard rating and policy issuance transactions.
- Receives claims information, manages data entry and coordinates among all relevant parties as per the assigned process/ claims protocol. Maintains, manages and controls Policy, Premium, and Claims data in global administration tools and ensures data quality
