**AWS Technical Lead - Financial Services & Insurance**

**About the Role**

We seek an experienced AWS Technical Lead to join our team and drive cloud transformation initiatives for financial services and insurance clients across Mexico and Latin America. This role combines deep technical expertise in AWS services with the ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value propositions for C-level executives and stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Technical Leadership & Architecture**
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS solutions for financial services and insurance clients
- Lead technical discussions with client IT teams and guide AWS best practices
- Conduct technical assessments and create migration strategies for legacy financial systems.
- Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations (PCI DSS, SOX, local banking regulations)

**Business Translation & Client Engagement**
- Translate technical AWS capabilities into business outcomes and ROI metrics for financial services clients.
- Present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite executives
- Develop business cases that demonstrate value creation through cloud adoption.
- Lead client workshops and discovery sessions to identify business requirements and technical constraints.

**Solution Development & Delivery**
- Oversee end-to-end implementation of AWS solutions for banking, insurance, and fintech clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including presale, sales, delivery, and support teams
- Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and client technical teams
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance requirements specific to financial services

**Industry Expertise**
- Stay current with financial services technology trends and regulatory requirements in Mexico and LATAM

**Required Qualifications**

**AWS Certifications (mandatory)**
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (required)
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate (required)

**Preferred Certifications**
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty
- AWS Certified Financial Services - Specialty (if available)

**Technical Skills**
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation, and VPC
- Strong experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS)
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing solutions)
- Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing

**Financial Services Experience**
- 3+ years of experience working with financial services or insurance clients
- Understanding of core banking systems, payment processing, and insurance platforms
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements (PCI DSS, SOX, GDPR, local Mexican banking regulations)
- Experience with financial data security and encryption standards

**Business & Communication Skills**
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders
- Experience presenting to C-level executives and senior management
- Strong project management and client relationship management skills
- Ability to create business cases and ROI analyses for cloud initiatives

**Language Requirements**
- Fluent in Spanish (native or near-native proficiency)
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal)

**Preferred Experience**

**Industry Background**
- Background in financial services consulting or technology implementation

**Additional Technical Skills**
- Experience with AWS Well-Architected Framework
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Familiarity with big data and analytics solutions (AWS Analytics services, data lakes)
