**What you will do**

Our Global Indirect Procurement Team is looking for an experienced professional who will be responsible for leading a team of indirect buyers which identifies, plans, implements, analyzes and executes Strategic Procurement initiatives related to Indirect Materials & Services for our plant locations in North America.

**How you will do it**
- Provide strategic procurement initiatives that leverage the operations of Johnson Controls with measurable financial results.
- Direct and implement region policies, procedures and standards that support the region business plans.
- Execute on strategies designed to improve business process productivity, reduce costs and procurement related expenses while improving profitability as well as increasing our TWC (Trade Working Capital) aligned with all business unit requirements.
- Cross-functional management of regional procurement teams (Global/regional) by enhancing strategy and leveraging expertise and knowledge of region.
- Lead annual budget planning and goal setting for Indirect Procurement across plants in North America.
- Work effectively with senior level business unit leaders to ensure alignment and support of the global & regional strategy and adoption of best practices
- Regular update to global procurement leadership and global business leaders

**What we look for**
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration & Management, preferably a second Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance
- **Minimum of 10+ years’ experience **in procurement and operational roles related to indirect materials & services, working in a global environment
- Proven track record of delivering strong financial improvements

- Ability to create Key Performance Indicators (KPI), manage those and deliver sustainable business improvements
- Strong People Leadership experiences, coaching mentality, forward thinker
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and in writing

- Ability to communicate effectively across channels, with business unit personnel, Purchasing staff, to achieve understanding of business goals
- Experienced in complex contract negotiations, multi-tender negotiations
