The Senior Software Test Engineer serves as a technical leader in our Quality Assurance organization. As a senior member of our team, you'll architect comprehensive testing strategies, lead cross-functional initiatives, and mentor junior engineers while driving quality excellence across multiple product areas. This role represents a significant opportunity to shape our quality practices and contribute to engineering excellence at scale.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Architect and implement comprehensive automated testing frameworks across multiple feature domains
- Lead strategic test planning for complex epics and feature sets, considering technical dependencies and risk mitigation
- Design and optimize scalable test solutions ensuring reliability and maintainability
- Drive defect prevention strategies and quality initiatives across multiple teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to identify and address testing bottlenecks
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test coverage strategies
- Balance quality objectives with release timelines effectively
- Act as a quality champion, embedding quality principles early in the development lifecycle
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and automation frameworks
- Represent QA interests in architectural discussions and technical decisions

**Team Collaboration**
- Contribute and participate in opportunities for technical innovation and experimentation
- Collaborate with product owners on feature requirements
- Participate in hiring and interviewing processes

**Growth & Development**
- Lead technical discussions and architectural decisions for test automation
- Mentor junior engineers in testing best practices and automation
- Drive quality initiatives across multiple teams
- Provide technical guidance on testing strategies
- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives and standard

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation

**Technical Skills**
- Advanced proficiency in automated testing frameworks and tools
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and architecture
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments
- Deep understanding of performance and security testing concepts
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and pipeline optimization
- Version control systems expertise (Git preferred)
- Database concepts and SQL knowledge
- Strong programming skills in an automation framework (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium)
- Deep understanding of software architecture patterns and system design
- Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
