**About the job**

We’re looking for a **Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)** to play a key role in our agile development team. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and implement cutting-edge testing strategies and automation frameworks to ensure our software is reliable, scalable, and built to the highest standards.

**What you’ll do**:

- Partner with the development team to **define and implement testing strategies** aligned with user stories, features, and epics.
- Design **test cases and plans** that ensure software meets functional and performance expectations.
- Develop **automated test cases** using modern tools and frameworks, covering **functional, smoke, regression, integration, and performance testing**.
- Seamlessly integrate automated testing into **CI/CD pipelines** to enhance deployment efficiency.
- Advocate for **quality engineering best practices**, including clean code, reusable automation, and thorough code reviews.
- Work cross-functionally with **developers, product owners, and fellow SDETs** to drive project success.
- Execute **automated and manual tests**, report defects, and work closely with engineers to **investigate, debug, and resolve issues**.
- Continuously refine **automation frameworks, tools, and testing methodologies** to improve efficiency and software quality.

**What you bring**
- **3 - 5 years** of hands-on experience in **test automation development**, focusing on **API, UI/mobile, and performance/load testing**.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing **comprehensive test plans, test suites, and test cases**.
- Exceptional **problem-solving and analytical skills**, with a track record of tackling complex technical challenges.
- Experience working in **Agile environments**, with knowledge of **CI/CD best practices**.
- Familiarity with **secure software development** and **secure testing methodologies**.
- **Technical Skills**
- **Programming**: Java (version 8+), **API Testing**: RestAssured (or equivalent)
- **Test Automation Frameworks**: Selenium (or equivalent for UI testing)
- **Databases**: SQL (relational databases)
- **Technologies**: REST, Git (or equivalent version control)

**This is an hybrid position located in Guadalajara, Mexico.**
