Manages Accounting staff to develop and prepare all financial statements and month-end closing activities for multiple complex legal entities in a region. Ensures staff accurately reviews and prepares account reconciliations and interprets accounting standards and regulations. Designs complex operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency of department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manages the staff review of month-end closing activates and the preparation of financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, profit-and-loss, and other accounting statements
- Leads staff activities for applicable accounting function(s)
- Strategically integrates accounting practices, procedures, and process improvements in accordance with accounting standards and regulations and manages interim and year-end audits with internal and external auditors
- Manages complex processes to ensure the accurate analysis and reporting of accounting data
- Evaluates the accounting and financial impact of operational decisions for larger department initiatives
- Utilizes knowledge and expertise to select, develop and evaluate Accounting staff to ensure the efficient operation of the function
- Manages budget and critical processes improvement
- Recommends changes and develops improved policy and procedures
- Builds and maintains relationships with company management. Works closely and partners with senior leadership of function
- May manage other supervisory/management level staff

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related filed required. Applicable Accounting certification preferred
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Accounting or Finance with three years of experience as an Manager Accounting
- Experience with complex Accounting issues
- Advanced Excel and database skills
- Advanced experience with ERP systems
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Demonstrated ability to interface with management and executive levels across functions
