Job Description
- JOB DESCRIPTION_
- Responsible for the bidding process including Process Automation Solutions (PAS) & MOM/Digital, both include solutions and services for automation and digital transformation projects. This rol lead the bidding process from initial contact through contract signing, with particular emphasis on establishing the technical solution, financial analysis, terms & conditions, cash flow trading terms. Responsible for generation, validating and endorsing the technical solution._
- The proposal consultant works together with the solution consultant and sales team to generate and activate the bidding strategy on each opportunity to win and win projects._
- Responsibilities:_
- _ Develops & create proposal documents for automation solutions._
- _ Evaluates customer RFQ's to create advantageous position for Rockwell Automation_
- _ Discovers and understands customer's primary business goals, operations, challenges and requirements._
- _ Aligns and applies entire scope of Rockwell products, solutions and services to meet the customer's business needs._
- _ Validates and endorses the technical aspects of the solution offered in the bid._
- _ Provides technical support to sales group, participates in site visits and technical discussions with customer/consultants on an as needed basis._
- _ Responsible for achieving validation of technical aspects of the solution offered in the bid._
- _ Executes request for approvals on bids in accordance with established approval process_
- _ Works closely with partners to obtain competitive pricing by 3rd party suppliers._
- _ Works closely with the Project Management and Engineering teams to ensure correct estimation for time and resources required for projects_
- _ May contribute to customer negotiations during bidding phase_
- _ Manages complex bid/proposals_
- _ Maximizes change order profitability by identifying, categorizing and minimizing risks during the proposal phase._
- SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE_
- 3+ years of experience in a large industrial systems and automation solutions delivery business._
- Bachelor´s degree (or higher) in Engineering (Electronics engineering or related)_
- Experience (2+ years) in Projects execution related to industrial automation (DCS, SCADA, PLC, HMI, Engineering, FAT, SAT, SIT, system architecture preparation, Drives, and other components of automation systems)._
- Project management knowledge_
- Previous experience as proposal engineer / proposal consultant / commercial experience within automation jobs is desired_
