**Objective**

Define the key initiatives and actions, in conjunction with HSE Global, that are required at BU to reduce and control safety risk exposures of all BU personnel (employees and contractors) as well as establish loss control plans in conjunction with the insurer and ensure that the plants comply with current safety legislation.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Develop the technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills of direct reports.
- Manage the incident management process.
- Ensure Contractor Management
- Verify Loss Control / System Performance vs. Fire Control Program
- Advise Plant Risk Assessment process
- Audit knowledge of and compliance with Essential Safety Rules
- Develop content for Training and Communication of Safety topics
- Develop and update procedures for safe work
- Ensure implementation and continuity of HSE Management System (HSE Leadership Model)
- Analyze and consolidate proactive safety indicators.

**Position Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, master’s degree desired.
- Experience Required: Occupational Safety and Health Standards, Safety and Health Standard Hazard Recognition & Control, Hazardous Substances, Energy & Equipment Emergency
- Skills Assertiveness, Influence and Persuasion, People Development, Strategic Vision, Global Perspective
- Languages English as a second Language
