Role OverviewAs a Business Development Representative for the Americas, you will be the engine room of our regional growth. Working closely with the Head of Sales for the Americas, you will focus on identifying, engaging, and qualifying new grocery retail opportunities across North America and Latin America.
This role is about creating momentum, opening doors, and building the early-stage pipeline that turns into pilots, proofs of value, and long-term partnerships. This is not a passive lead-following role. You will be expected to think commercially, understand retail challenges, and engage key stakeholders with intelligent, relevant conversations. For the right individual, this role offers a clear path into an Account Executive or Sales Manager position as the region scales.
Key ResponsibilitiesProactively identify and research target grocery retailers across the US, Canada, Mexico, and LATAMExecute outbound prospecting campaigns via email, phone, LinkedIn, and industry networksQualify inbound and outbound leads against defined ICP criteriaBook high-quality discovery meetings and hand over qualified opportunities to the Head of SalesSupport early-stage deal progression by assisting with research, account mapping, and stakeholder analysisMaintain accurate and disciplined CRM hygiene, ensuring all activity and pipeline data is up to dateCollaborate closely with marketing on regional campaigns, events, and account-based initiativesDevelop a strong understanding of Cust2Mate's solution, value proposition, and use cases in grocery retailProvide structured feedback from the field on market trends, objections, and competitor activityRepresent Cust2Mate professionally in early customer interactions and industry conversationsIdeal Candidate Profile1–3 years' experience in B2B sales, business development, or commercial roles, preferably in SaaS or retail technologyFluent in English and Spanish, professional proficiency requiredStrong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable speaking with senior retail stakeholdersHigh level of curiosity and coachability, with a genuine interest in technology and retail transformationResilient mindset, comfortable with outbound prospecting and rejectionHighly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-throughComfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment with evolving processesExperience using CRM systems such as HubSpot is a plusPreferred BackgroundExposure to grocery retail, CPG, retail operations, or in-store technologyExperience selling into enterprise or mid-market accountsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is advantageousPrevious titles may include: Sales Development Representative, Business Development Associate, Commercial Analyst
