Position Summary:The Account Lead will be responsible for leading the Daymon Mexico Private Brand team inside of one of the most important retailers in Mexico. This role requires deep expertise in best-in-class private brands, retail, brand development, product management and cross-functional program leadership.The ideal candidate must combine strategic thinking, project leadership, commercial acumen, and strong capability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across Marketing, Commercial, Quality, Supply Chain and external suppliers.This position is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all strategic and operational components of the Private Brand program: covering PB Strategy, Brand Development, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Category Management, Governance and Culture.Main Responsibilities:Business/Functional ResultsAchieve budgeted goals for financialsAnalyze and determine the most crucial needs of the assigned customer team and align the organization and talent to deliver on those needs in alignment with the customer.Support account team in the development of sales plansRelationship management with customers – clearly defined matrices for accountabilityIncrease Daymon business connectivity with customersManaging ExecutionEnsure execution of the shareholders mapping to identify the most critical initiatives and relationships and work with the team to lay out short and long term plans to achieve relationships at the appropriate level for the accountAllocate resources at the account levelDemonstrate functional expertise in all facets of Private Brand & Branding via on-the-job development, educational and networking opportunitiesDevelop strong supplier relationships by obtaining alignment and developing and delivering on mutually established goals.Ensuring appropriate amount of support (time & resource allocation) for our top relationshipsGenerating TalentAttract, develop and retain key talent to enable the execution of the collective goals of the customer and the enterpriseMotivates, directs and inspires on-site teams to deliver on the agreed upon metrics of the customer and suppliers in conjunction with the needed resources/teams across the enterpriseDriving Employee Satisfaction: Continuously enhance the trust and work experience of associates to make Daymon a desired workplaceIdentify expected level of decision-making and expected level of risk-taking for team membersStrategic LeadershipExecute new strategic initiatives for the accountElevate the conversation with customer to the strategy levelManage the Daymon value equation with the senior team of customer and ensuring it is understood and advancedSupport, provide guidance with customer issues relating to cost/valueFoster thought leadership within account teamDemonstrate an understanding of the Private Brand landscape, best practices and where customers currently exist in these arenasManaging RelationshipsOwns relationships with assigned customer and suppliersDirects, delegates and empowers effectivelyPosition Requirements:Experience RequiredBachelor's degree required; MBA/Graduate Degree preferred10+ years of CPG and/or retail experienceExperience in building and nurturing brands; private brand management a plusDemonstrated ability to lead and develop teamsFunctional Knowledge and Business Expertise RequiredSolid background and demonstrated ability to bring together a diverse teamAbility to contribute to setting and achieving budgetsProven track record of developing talent, and ability/willingness to mentor associatesGood grasp of Product Development, Marketing, Retail, Category Management, and LogisticsHighly effective in building and maintaining customer and associate relationshipsAttributes/CompetenciesBuilding Effective TeamsCustomer FocusCritical ThinkingDeveloping Direct Reports and OthersDrive for ResultsInfluencingInformingIntegrity and TrustInterpersonal SavvyManagerial CourageManages DiversityManaging and Measuring WorkPersonal Learning
