The ideal candidate will have a solid background in plastics injection molding and be highly skilled in the repair, modification, and building of molds and dies. This position is hands-on and requires strong machining and organizational skills in a tool room environment.Key ResponsabilitiesPerform die and mold repairs, including disassembly and reassemblyOperate lathes, grinders, and other traditional tool room machines and equipmentSet up and operate CNC machinesPerform various machining operations to support tool repairs and modificationsConduct in-machine and out-of-machine tool repairsUtilize EDM machines (a plus)Weld using MIG, TIG, or laser methods (preferred)Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentQualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience as a Tool Maker in a plastics injection molding settingJourneyman mold maker certification or equivalent experienceMold Repairs and Mold modification experience (hot runner systems is preferred)Strong knowledge of machine tool operations including Lathe work, Mill work, Overhead Crane, etc.Ability to redline detail drawings and manufacture to tolerances +/-0.001.Welding experience is a plusPreferred SkillsProgram and run CNC, EDM and other machines.Organizational skills – you know how to keep a tool room organized(6S)Attention to detailGood verbal and written communication skillsTeam player and performing all duties un-supervised in a professional timely manner.Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision is requiredSelf-motivation and resourcefulness are requiredPhysical RequirementsMust be able to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, stand, walk, and perform repetitive wrist motionCapable of lifting up to 50 lbs (mechanical aids available for heavier loads)OtherRelocation Assistance Provided Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance day 1401K Retirement Plan company match12 PTO Days up to 25 PTO days based on seniority10 Paid Holidays
