Remote Mexico, Remote Quantum Trabajo remoto Jornada completa $180,000/año

Few storage companies cover the full data lifecycle. Quantum does, from primary disk to object storage, archive, and tape, and as the technical lead on each deal, you'll design the solution that brings it all together for our customers.

Quantum

Quantum Corporation is a global company at the center of AI infrastructure: the storage, protection, and management of data that the world's most data-intensive organizations depend on. We're publicly traded, growing fast, and building for what's next. Behind that growth is a simple belief: our people are the single biggest driver of the business. That's why leadership invests in talent the way it invests in technology, and why every hire here has a real hand in where Quantum goes next.

What You Will Do

As a PreSales Engineer, you will be the technical lead on Quantum's pre-sales opportunities, matching Quantum products to the problem each customer is trying to solve. Once a partner registers a deal, you'll assess technical and business requirements and build a detailed system design while the sales rep drives the commercial side. Through technical presentations, you'll show how Quantum's capabilities meet the customer's needs and work alongside their third-party products. You'll then hand off full documentation to Professional Services and stay engaged through installation, building customer and partner relationships for long-term success.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify customers’ technical and business requirements, including infrastructure, workflows, and capacity needs, in preparation for detailed system design.
  • Translate requirements into reference architectures and solution design documents, including detailed Visio diagrams and technical briefs the sales team uses for formal proposals.
  • Deliver presentations, chalk talks, and demos that show how Quantum solves customer needs and interoperates with third-party products.
  • Win the "Technical Recommendation to Buy" through proposed solutions, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Provide technical input on large RFIs and RFPs.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers and channel partners.

Who You Are

You come from the vendor side of pre-sales, and you're at your best in front of customers. Travel, deadlines, and a sales team with high expectations energize you. You present credibly to technical and non-technical audiences alike without coming across as salesy. Your storage knowledge is broad rather than narrow, so you can design a solution that pulls disk, object, archive, and tape together. You work independently and earn the trust of the sales reps you support.

Qualifications:

  • Vendor-side, customer-facing pre-sales engineering or solutions architecture experience in data storage.
  • Working knowledge of storage technologies (NAS, SAN, DAS, object, software-defined storage) across primary, archive, and tape tiers.
  • Experience with backup, data protection, and information lifecycle management strategies.
  • Comfort building solution architecture documentation in Visio.
  • Familiarity with network topologies and Mac, UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Based in Mexico; Spanish fluency required; Media & Entertainment workflow experience (post-production, VFX, broadcast) strongly preferred; Portuguese a plus.
  • Preferred: BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Benefits

The base salary for this role is $180K, paired with a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
