Are you an experienced technical sales professional with a strong background in EMS/SMT, electronics manufacturing, and capital equipment sales?
At OMRON Inspection Systems, we’re looking for an AOI Account Manager to drive business growth across the Southern Region of Mexico and expand our presence in high-potential industries and market segments.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong commercial skills with deep technical knowledge of PCB manufacturing, SMT processes, and inspection technologies such as AOI, AXI, and SPI.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive targeted sales growth within the assigned territory through direct sales and authorized manufacturer representatives.
• Identify and qualify high-potential target accounts that align with OMRON’s product and application capabilities.
• Develop and execute account penetration strategies to generate significant new business within strategic customers.
• Manage technical sales opportunities with end-user customers at both enterprise and production levels.
• Build and strengthen relationships with key customer stakeholders to support long-term business growth.
• Engage with customers on a regular basis to understand their technical and business needs and ensure strong customer support.
• Represent OMRON professionally while maintaining strong relationships with customers, distributors, representatives, and internal teams. What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of experience in technical sales, ideally within EMS, SMT, PCB manufacturing or electronics manufacturing.
• Technical education in Engineering or a related field is preferred. Equivalent extensive technical experience within the EMS/SMT industry may also be considered.
• Experience selling capital equipment and managing complex, consultative sales cycles.
• Strong knowledge of SMT and PCB manufacturing processes.
• Experience identifying new opportunities, opening accounts, developing territories and converting opportunities into business.
• A strong hunter mindset combined with the ability to develop long-term customer relationships.
• Experience selling directly to end users and/or working through manufacturer representatives, distributors or indirect sales channels.
• Exposure to AOI, SPI, AXI or related SMT equipment such as pick-and-place, X-ray, test, reflow, screen printing or other electronics manufacturing capital equipment is highly valuable.
• Ability to work with Engineering, Operations, Procurement and business decision-makers throughout the sales process.
• Professional English proficiency.
• Availability to travel up to 50%.
