We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Planner to join our Programming Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules across various hydroelectric rehabilitation and refurbishment projects. This includes creating, editing, and maintaining project timelines using advanced scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project. The Planner will support project managers by providing analyses and forecasts based on current project data, identifying potential delays, and recommending solutions. You will also be responsible for coordinating with subcontractors, performing Critical Path Analysis (CPA), and ensuring compliance with project milestones.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Proficient in project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Strong understanding of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project management principles
- Experience with Critical Path Analysis (CPA)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze data and present reports
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel
- Availability to travel (~10%)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules for multiple hydroelectric refurbishment projects.
- Assist in building a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Subcontractor WBS, and integrate these into a Master Integrated Schedule (IMS) with over 1500 activities.
- Track project issues, risks, and tasks to ensure smooth project progress.
- Conduct schedule analysis, including Critical Path Analysis, to evaluate the impact of any design or construction changes and delays.
- Set baseline schedules and monitor project performance using established benchmarks.
- Work with subcontractors to ensure their schedules align with best practices and are included in the overall IMS.
- Create and present detailed project tracking reports, schedules, and dashboards for management.
- Facilitate schedule updates and manage changes as projects progress.
- Ensure all scheduling activities comply with project standards and legal requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Solid knowledge of construction industry practices, labor standards, and project scheduling processes.
- Strong technical aptitude with a capacity to analyze data and create detailed reports.
- Strong teamwork and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Availability to travel (approximately 10%).

Investigate and address any quality issues or production discrepancies promptly. Work closely with quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Promote a safety-conscious culture among employees through training and awareness programs. Budget and Cost Management: Develop and manage the plant budget, including expenses related to labor, materials, and equipment. Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and reduce waste in manufacturing processes. Monitor financial performance metrics and implement cost-saving initiatives as needed. Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Manage inventory levels to support production schedules and minimize stockouts or excess inventory. Communication and Reporting: Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on production performance, challenges, and opportunities. Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, production metrics, and operational efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in the packaging industry. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.
