Commercial L&D Manager LATAM (Portuguese Speakers)

The Commercial Learning and Development Manager LATAM plays a critical role in driving the development and enhancement of the commercial workforce across the Latin America region. This position is responsible for executing international training programs, providing coaching and development opportunities, and managing relationships with local and regional stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and development, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Execute international training programs designed to enhance the skills and capabilities of the commercial workforce across the LATAM region.
Collaborate with International L&D teams to adapt training content and materials to meet the specific needs and cultural nuances of the LATAM market.
Provide coaching and development support to commercial teams, including sales representatives, account managers, and business development professionals.
Identify training needs and gaps within the organization, developing targeted solutions to address skill deficiencies and drive performance improvement.
Work closely with local and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment of L&D initiatives with business objectives and priorities.
Serve as a key point of contact for commercial leaders, providing guidance and support on L&D-related matters.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, gathering feedback and insights to continuously improve content and delivery methods.
Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other technology platforms to administer, track, and report on training activities and outcomes.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in commercial training and development, incorporating new ideas and approaches into L&D initiatives.
Product scope:Alcon Contact Lens, Dry Eye and Ocular Health Portfolio, Contact Lens Care.
Customer scope:Opticians, optometry, ophthalmology, pharmacies, practices, drugstores
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economy, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Optical, pharmaceutical, or medtech industry background preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, preferably within a commercial or sales environment or sales or sales management experience in pharmaceutical, optical or medtech.
Familiarity with MS Office, SAP, CRM
Proficiency in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience working in a multicultural and geographically dispersed environment, with a focus on the LATAM region.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other technology-enabled learning tools.
