Job Purpose
The role of Regional Manager - LATAM will be part of the International Business team (Americas) within the Global Commercial Organization. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the sales function for the LATAM region (Cluster - Mexico, Central American & Caribbean markets) and provide support to the leadership team of LATAM and stakeholders in continuous development, working with operational activities related to the demand analysis for Motorcycles and Non- Motorcycle verticals (Apparel, GMA), ensure guarantee of minimum stock (availability at distributors), competitiveness analysis of products, allocation control and support to new distributor development, including Action Plans and legal notifications if required.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the achievement of the goals for wholesales and retail, profitability and growth of the region for motorcycle and non motorcycle business
- Help provide the information which will help position the brand and products correctly in the region
- Provide data for all reports as needed including market and competition data, performance of identified competition models, promotions and the Sales Funnel metrics for our models.
- Support generation and management of leads, including the process ownership for conversion of leads into sales.
- Help develop customer personas for each model to improve targeting of marketing activities
- Ensure that there is continuous interaction with customers on an ongoing basis with the help of the marketing teams to develop the riding community in the region.
- Motorcycles demand analysis, forecast, stock and orders control with the help of the factory operations team.
- Work with the marketing team in LatAm to ensure effective implementation of marketing plans for the region
- Sales Incentives proposition including cooperated marketing and sales activations
- Ensure proper credit limit (floorplan) for a healthy operations where applicable
- Establish a healthy and long term relationship with our distributor partners
- Continuous improvement of customer satisfaction
- Notification of the deviations of the distributors according to the rules and procedures established by the agreement
- Business consulting and negotiation of the action plans for the region
- Continuous capability development by developing, leading and motivating sales teams with training (brand history, sales and product knowledge) and results seeking, systematically on a continuous basis
Work Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree (Full Time) - Sales, Marketing or related streams
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) - Sales & Marketing / Advertising / Communications
Experience
- 10+ years experience
- Prior experience of running regional sales areas in the automotive industry - motorcycle or similar
- Good understanding of our target audiences and the insightful triggers & barriers that govern their usage/purchase behavior
