R&D E-mobility – Senior E-axle Design Engineer

Design of e-axle by integrating the electromechanical processes that compose it.

Educational Prerequisites

Bachelor of Science degree in Automotive, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent). Master’s degree in is a plus.

Technical Prerequisites

3+ Years of Experience as Design Engineer. Automotive knowledge background (Electric drive knowledge is a plus). Knowledge in manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, stamping, forging, etc. Knowledge of mechatronic systems and mechanical integration. Strong understanding of the Product Development Process. 2D&3D CAD software knowledge (CREO Parametric preferred) Experience working with High Voltage and Low Voltage Systems is a plus. Microsoft office.  Strong knowledge in: FMEA and Risk Analysis. GD&T and Stack-up calculation. BOM structures. PDM software knowledge (Windchill and RV&S knowledge is a plus)

Responsibilities

Performs engineering calculations to ensure or improve product function (Including tolerances and interfaces analysis). Responsible for mechanically integrate different mechatronic systems and subsystems into an e-axle assembly. Manage internal and external cross functional manufacturing design reviews.  Provide technical support and assessment to customer requirements.  Responsible of preparing presentations to stakeholders.  Conducts mechanical design activities to develop e-axle systems, as well as activities around their costing.  Responsible for product data and engineering changes through PDM software.  Participate in continues improvement of Schaeffler products and standards.  Handles of DFMEA & ADVP.  Provide mentorship and guidance to trainees.
